Situated in the heart of Leslieville, Black Lab Brewing offers a unique and welcoming environment suitable for gatherings of various sizes. Ample parking in the neighborhood, access to multiple public transit options and Uber. Our adaptable space can comfortably accommodate groups ranging from 80 (Taproom/indoors) to 180 guests (Taproom and Beer Garden/outdoors).

Taproom Ambiance:

Whether you're joining us for a casual hangout with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a place to unwind after a long day, our taproom provides the perfect setting. Featuring gender neutral washrooms and a wheelchair accessible taproom.

Dog-Friendly Environment:
We understand that furry friends are an integral part of many families, which is why we've created a dog-friendly environment where you can enjoy quality time with your four-legged companions. Feel free to bring your well-behaved canine friends along to join in on the fun with any private and semi-private function!

 Options Available:

  1. Cash Bar: Guests can pay their own way – a minimum spend will apply to the host, depending on day of the week and number of guests.
    • Level 1 – A minimum of 10 of our finest craft beers on draft
    • Level 2 – A variety of wine and ready to drink coolers available at market prices. A Special Occasion Permit fee of $170 will be applicable and payable by the host.
  2. Open Bar: Treat your guests to an extensive selection of our finest selection of 10 craft beers on tap and other beverage options:
    • Level 1 – A minimum of 10 of our finest craft beers on draft
    • Level 2 - locally sourced red and white wines, ready-to-drink (RTD) coolers (White Claw, Nutrl)
      • SOP Permit required - $170 plus HST
    • Level 3 – prestigious VQA Niagara winery (Trius, Peller, etc.) and ready-to-drink (RTD) coolers (White Claw, Nutrl)
      • SOP Permit required - $170 plus HST
      • Additional cost of $10 per guest
    • Level 4 – LCBO Vintages exclusive wines and ready-to-drink (RTD) coolers (White Claw, Nutrl)
      • SOP Permit required - $170 plus HST
      • Additional cost of $20 per guest
  3. Token Bar: The host can pre-purchase a number of tokens to provide their guests. If wine and ready to drink coolers (RTDs)are requested, a Special Occasion Permit fee of $170 will be payable by the host. Each token will be redeemable for either a craft beer or Level 1 above (if SOP purchased). Tokens can be purchased for $7.50 (includes tax and tip).
  4. Swag Bags: Enhance the guest experience with personalized swag bags filled with delightful brewery goodies. Keep the party going and let us curate a custom Black Lab gift basket for your clients or guests to take with them when they leave. Your event coordinator will work with you to create a gift basket to accompany your event perfectly - including drinks, merch, gift cards, and more! Shipping is also available – pricing varies. 
  5. Custom Beer – create a custom beer with our brewmaster to be served during your event! There’s nothing like having your own beer! With enough lead time, we can even create your own beer and have it available in cans with your personalized label. Fees depending on number of guests and cans.
  6. Floral or Balloon Arrangements: Elevate the ambiance of your event with tasteful floral arrangements or festive balloon decorations.
    • Floral arrangements – provided by Thyme Studios, a woman-owned, independent Leslieville company
    • Balloon arrangements – provided by Milati Events, a women-owned, independent and locally owned company
  7. Catering: Choose one of our preferred vendors to cater your event, offering a mouthwatering selection of food options perfectly complementing our brews.
  8. DJ Service: Access to a local DJ with the ability to get your party rocking. Playlists curated to your taste – ranging from golden oldies to the latest club anthems.
  9. Beer Tastings and Tour: We’ll guide your guests through the brewhouse, providing brewing knowledge and insight. Expert guidance through Black Lab’s history and the brewing process, culminating in a sample directly from a Brite Tank – a truly unique experience to pour a beer from the tanks!

 Venue Options:

  • Brewery/Taproom: Immerse your guests in the unique atmosphere of our brewery and taproom. Max capacity 80 plus pets
  • Outdoor Beer Garden: Weather permitting, enjoy the fresh air and scenic surroundings of our outdoor beer garden. Max capacity 100 plus pets
  • Both Spaces: For larger events, rent out both the brewery/taproom and the outdoor beer garden to accommodate all your guests comfortably. Max capacity 180 plus pets

 Additional Information:

  • We offer customizable packages designed to suit your unique preferences and requirements.
  • Nearby parking is available for your convenience and that of your guests.

Payment and Cancellation:

25% deposit due at the time of booking, which is fully refundable with at least 30 days notice. Half refundable if cancelled between 10-29 days before your event. Non-refundable if less than 10 days notice

  • Have your heart set on a certain wine or alcohol? We can work with you to meet all your beverage needs for your event. Due to current liquor laws, all alcohol must be purchased by Black Lab Brewing.


  • We welcome you to get creative within our space. Flowers and table decor are encouraged, while nothing can be attached or affixed to walls or surfaces.


  • Yes of course! Black Lab Brewing was designed to be family and pet friendly. We have high-chairs and booster seats, and the area is accessible for strollers.


  • You’re more than welcome to use our Taproom, Brewery or Beer Garden space for photos. Please coordinate with our event coordinator to make sure your expectations are fully met!
